THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE: HEADQUARTERS OF THE JAPAN SELF DEFENSE FORCES, JAPAN GROUND SELF DEFENSE FORCE, JAPAN MARITIME SELF DEFENSE FORCE, AND JAPAN AIR SELF DEFENSE FORCE.

The Japan self defense forces (JSDF), is the Defense arm of the Japan Armed forces. It comprises the Japan ground self defense force (Army), Japan maritime self defense force (Navy), and Japan air self defense force (Air Force).  

The headquarters of the Japan self defense forces, the Army, Navy, and Air Force, are all located in the Ministry of Defense building. 

The present Minister of Defense of Japan is; Shinjiro Koizumi.

The present Chief of Staff, Joint Staff, of the Japan self Defense Forces, is: General Hiroaki Uchikura. 

The present Chief of Staff, of the Japan ground self defense force is, General Masayoshi Arai. 

The present Chief of Staff, of the Japan maritime self defense force is, Admiral Akira Saito. 

The present Chief of Staff, of the Japan Air self defense force is, General Takehiro Morita. 

The Prime Minister of Japan,is the Commander In Chief, of the Armed Forces. 

The founder, and first Emperor of Japan, was Emperor Jimmu 1. 

He remains Emperor, and Commander In Chief of Japan forever, and his descendants are still on his throne. Emperor Naruhito, is his direct descendant.
